About the Role

Harvey is transforming how legal and professional services operate end-to-end. We’re looking for a Strategic Business Development Lead (Legal) who can apply deep legal experience to help customers understand how our AI solutions enhance specific day-to-day workflows. Your role is central to securing the ‘legal win’ in our sales process through in-depth discovery and education.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with lawyers at existing and prospective customers to understand workflow challenges and demonstrate Harvey's AI solutions.
  • Establish yourself as a credible expert in solving customers' specific legal problems, such as drafting documents or due diligence.
  • Lead product demonstrations tailored to various law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop content that will resonate with lawyers.
  • Act as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ to help the sales team develop strategies and synthesize feedback for the product team.
  • Tailor the introduction of new solutions to specific customer needs.
  • Further the market perception of Harvey as uniquely credible and helpful.
  • Conduct research and analysis on customers and competitors.

What We're Looking For

  • JD or equivalent legal qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm (Vault 50 or equivalent).
  • Executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision makers.
  • Outstanding presentation skills to both legal and executive audiences.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes and challenges faced by legal professionals.
  • Curiosity about AI's potential to transform the legal industry.

Nice to Have

  • Corporate law or litigation focus.
  • Sales or customer-facing experience, including law firm business development and/or secondment.
  • Experience directly managing law firm client matters and client relationships.

Benefits & Compensation

  • On-Target Earnings: $200,000 - $300,000 USD with a 70/30 split.
