Role Overview
As a Neuroscience Specialist in the Central Nervous System (CNS) therapeutic area, you will build trusted relationships with healthcare providers across Houston, Humble, and Beaumont to support optimal patient care. You serve as a key resource, delivering scientifically accurate, on-label product information through in-person visits, virtual meetings, and digital engagement platforms. Your insights help shape local strategies and strengthen provider confidence in treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage healthcare professionals using a mix of virtual and digital tools to discuss treatment approaches, product access, and patient care guidelines.
- Deliver clear, balanced, and compliant sales presentations using approved materials and clinical references to support informed prescribing.
- Organize and lead educational speaker programs and provider group discussions to exchange clinical insights and real-world outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine targeting strategies based on market feedback, sales data, and business intelligence reports.
- Identify and connect with professional networks and potential key opinion leaders to expand outreach and clinical engagement.
- Elevate local market insights and opportunities to leadership to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Support office staff with knowledge of payer policies and reimbursement processes to improve treatment access and continuity of care.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies while responding to competitive dynamics and clinical inquiries.
- Utilize sales analytics and promotional budgets to track performance and identify growth areas within the territory.
- Foster strong relationships with all practice personnel, emphasizing patient-centered care in every interaction.
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales, with a preference for those who have worked in CNS, psychiatry, or ADHD. A proven ability to communicate complex clinical data clearly and ethically is essential. You should reside within 50 miles of the primary territory and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Additional preferred qualifications include experience launching new products or indications and a background in cross-functional commercial roles within life sciences. The ideal candidate thrives in evolving environments and demonstrates initiative in coaching and professional development.
Work Environment
This is a field-based role requiring local travel across the Houston region, with occasional overnight trips based on territory needs. You will leverage digital communication platforms, virtual engagement tools, and approved promotional resources to maintain consistent outreach.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $107,362 to $166,750, plus incentive opportunities.
