Neuroscience Specialist – Pennsylvania Region
Role Overview
This position focuses on advancing patient care by connecting with healthcare providers across Scranton, Cherryville, Martins Creek, and Laurys Station, PA. The specialist delivers scientifically accurate, approved information about central nervous system (CNS) therapies through a mix of in-person visits, virtual meetings, and digital engagement. As a trusted resource, the role strengthens provider knowledge, supports informed treatment decisions, and enhances the overall experience for medical professionals and patients alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage physicians and clinical staff using compliant, multi-channel outreach strategies
- Provide clear, balanced information on product indications, clinical data, and patient management
- Serve as the primary liaison for provider inquiries, directing complex questions to appropriate internal teams
- Facilitate peer-led educational events and local provider forums to exchange clinical insights
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Support teams under regulatory guidelines
- Collect and share field insights to inform local business planning and strategic decisions
- Utilize sales analytics and market data to prioritize outreach and identify opportunities
- Support office staff with guidance on reimbursement processes and payer requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product, competitor, and market trends
- Build relationships with key practice personnel to promote patient-centered care
- Ensure all promotional activities align with compliance standards and internal policies
- Track performance metrics and adjust territory plans to meet business objectives
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least two years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales, with four or more years in a customer-facing healthcare role. Experience in CNS, psychiatry, or ADHD is preferred. The ideal candidate lives within 50 miles of the territory and holds a valid U.S. driver’s license. Proven ability to interpret clinical data and communicate it effectively is essential. Prior experience launching new products or mentoring others is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring local travel across northeastern Pennsylvania. The specialist will use digital platforms and in-person visits to maintain provider engagement. Some overnight travel may be necessary. The position reports to a regional business lead and operates within a compliant, collaborative ecosystem.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary ranges from $107,362 to $166,750, with performance-based incentives.
