Carrier is hiring a Strategic Account Manager focused on the K-12 commercial HVAC market. In this role, you will be responsible for growing equipment, controls, and service sales within an assigned territory by focusing on business development, account management, and influencing design standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain owner relationships with partners in larger school districts to influence design standards and preference for Carrier products.
- Communicate with and influence internal and external customers and sales leaders regarding sales proposals and strategies.
- Conduct market analysis and identify key customer targets.
- Help develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets in your assigned territory.
- Use state procurement contracts and other sales tools to increase equipment sales.
- Manage K-12 sales activities and resources within sales channels in your territory.
- Collaborate with local Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams on sales strategies.
- Track project activity and provide technical and product training to key customers.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of sales experience in a solution sales role, with a history of exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to travel 50-60% of the time domestically.
Nice to Have
- BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing; an MBA is preferable.
- Experience selling into the K-12 market and selling HVAC equipment directly or indirectly.
- A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with 2-step distribution and working through different sales channels.
- Experience in sales to U.S. Government and Public Sector Agencies.
- Experience navigating procurement processes.
- Knowledge of HVAC designs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong financial and business acumen, sense of urgency, self-initiative, and dedication.
- Outstanding follow-up, follow-through, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Unwavering customer service orientation.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $136,950 - $191,938 Annually.
