Work as a key support on bridge engineering projects, assisting senior professionals with structural assessments and field inspections. You'll contribute to resilient infrastructure solutions by conducting engineering calculations, creating CADD drawings, and documenting findings through reports and field sketches.
Key Responsibilities
- Support structural engineering tasks under the guidance of licensed engineers
- Conduct field inspections, including taking measurements, photographs, and producing technical sketches
- Operate inspection equipment such as bucket trucks, ladders, and manlifts
- Assist in setting up traffic control and safety measures during field operations
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and assist with data analysis
- Collaborate on design documentation using CADD software
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. Candidates should have experience with CADD platforms such as AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with structural analysis tools is beneficial.
Preferred qualifications include passing the EIT exam, completing relevant NHI bridge inspection courses, and holding FAA Part 107 drone certification. Exposure to non-destructive testing methods is a plus.
