Lead and manage survey operations across urban, rural, and remote regions of Washington and the broader Pacific Northwest. This role is responsible for directing field teams, coordinating schedules, and ensuring seamless execution of survey projects from planning through final deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise survey teams conducting Control, Boundary, Subdivision, ALTA, Topographic, and Design surveys
- Oversee 3D Scanning, Modeling, and Aerial Mapping projects using UAV LiDAR and imagery
- Manage Construction Staking for site development and transportation infrastructure
- Direct Bathymetric Survey operations and related data collection
- Ensure quality control across computations, deliverables, and compliance with technical standards
- Review legal descriptions, plats, and survey documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Support business development, client communication, and project tracking
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies in all work environments
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Washington or be able to obtain one within six months. A degree in Geomatics or a related field is preferred. A minimum of ten years of surveying experience, including at least three years in project management, is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Field and office adaptability, strong communication skills, and reliable attendance are expected. Willingness to travel and maintain a valid driver’s license is necessary.
Preferred Skills
- CFedS certification and multi-state PLS credentials
- Experience with Trimble equipment and software
- Familiarity with Civil3D (2022 or newer) and MicroStation Open Roads
- Knowledge of monumentation, staking practices, and local survey laws
- Understanding of occupational hazards and safety procedures in survey operations
Work Environment
This is an onsite position based in one of several Washington offices including Bothell, Olympia, Seattle, or Vancouver. Regular travel to project sites is required. The role supports a culture of innovation, inclusion, and professional growth.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range is $130,000 to $180,000, with base pay influenced by experience, location, and technical qualifications. Restricted stock units may be included in total compensation.
