GitLab was looking for a Strategic Account Executive - Southeast

GitLab is looking for a Strategic Account Executive to drive growth and support our strategic large prospects and customers in the Southeast region. You will provide critical account leadership throughout the sales process, ensuring successful product rollout and adoption while representing the voice of the customer.

What You'll Do

  • Support GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers, providing account leadership and direction in pre- and post-sales processes.
  • Conduct sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities within large and strategic accounts.
  • Ensure successful product rollout and adoption through strong account management and coordination with cross-functional resources.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to our public issue tracker.
  • Generate qualified leads and develop new customers in collaboration with strategic channel partners.
  • Expand your industry knowledge and understanding of the company’s competitive posture.
  • Prepare activity and forecast reports and contribute to root cause analysis on wins and losses.
  • Communicate lessons learned to the account management, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers and technical support staff.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to discuss business issues, develop formal quotes, proposals, and presentations.
  • Develop and execute account plans based on customer business needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on effective marketing strategies.

  • Ability to provide a high degree of account management and control, working under minimal supervision on complex projects.
  • Proven experience selling into large organizations.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques for success.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Alignment with GitLab's values and a commitment to working in accordance with them.
  • Ability to use GitLab.
  • Ability to travel as needed and comply with the company’s travel policy.

Nice to Have

  • Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, Application Lifecycle Management, or security/App Sec tools.
