Waabi is hiring a Staff Systems Engineer - Behavior Requirements and Verification to architect and validate the behavioral specifications for our autonomous driving technology. You will be instrumental in ensuring our systems are safe, predictable, and performant through rigorous engineering practices.
What You'll Do
- Define formal behavior requirements for autonomous vehicle decision-making and motion planning.
- Design and implement verification strategies to validate system behavior against requirements.
- Develop methods for analyzing system performance and safety using simulation and real-world data.
- Collaborate with software and systems teams to integrate requirements into the development lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, requirements development, or verification.
- Proven background in defining and validating system behavior, preferably in robotics, aerospace, or automotive domains.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with formal methods or model-based systems engineering.
- Ability to translate high-level safety and performance goals into testable engineering specifications.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across technical teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or ADAS systems.
- Familiarity with simulation-based verification and validation frameworks.
- Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ISO 26262, SOTIF).
