About the Role

Medtronic is hiring a Field Clinical Engineer to serve as a vital technical link between engineering, clinical study teams, and the medical community. In this role, you will directly support clinical research and product development by providing expertise at study sites.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical support to clinical study sites as the primary technical resource between engineering, clinical study teams, and the medical community.
  • Attend initial product implants to evaluate device interaction with the human body.
  • Identify investigators, present study protocols, and assist in product application.
  • Submit status reports for all assigned clinical programs.
  • Support research and development by evaluating new product concepts and modifications to existing devices or therapies.
  • Facilitate signature collection for contracts, delegation of authority documents, and other required paperwork.
  • Maintain a close partnership with the Clinical team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure the collection of high-quality data.

What We're Looking For

  • A Baccalaureate degree is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using, teaching, and guiding users on investigational medical devices and complex study protocols, particularly in neuromodulation and neurostimulation.
  • Experience traveling to on-site locations and working in a field engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, clinical research execution and working with clinical studies.
  • Field experience working directly with customers, physicians, research staff, and vendors.

  • Compensation Range: $68,800.00 - $103,200.00

This is a remote position. We prefer candidates located in or near Minneapolis, MN.
