FLIR Integrated Imaging Solutions is seeking a Firmware Test Co-op for an 8-month Software Development Engineer in Test position. As a co-op student, you’ll join our Testing team, which focuses on designing and manufacturing innovative Machine Vision products.
What You'll Do
- Implement design verification tests to help identify complex firmware problems
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and software interactions
- Execute automated tests to verify camera function
- Design and implement improvements to our process and infrastructure
- Build, test, and release new firmware
What We're Looking For
- Currently a third or fourth year student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in C++
- Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming design
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude
- Highly organized individual with keen attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash)
- Comfortable with hardware and circuit debugging tools (oscilloscope, multimeter)
- Knowledge of USB, Ethernet, and communication protocols
- Familiarity with image processing
- Experience with embedded systems
