Sezzle is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to serve as the primary DevOps engineer for a Fortune 500 client’s Vulnerability Management Development team. In this remote role, you will ensure resilient infrastructure, design containerized application architecture, and create productive developer environments.
What You'll Do
- Be the primary DevOps engineer for the Vulnerability Management Development team.
- Ensure infrastructure is responsive and resilient.
- Work with individual developers to create a productive development environment on their local machines.
- Collaborate with the team to design and deploy application architecture in a container environment.
- Maintain system security by following standards and performing patching and upgrades.
- Research and suggest new tools or methodologies to improve development productivity, testing, and security.
- Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
- Collaborate on industry thought leadership with the itD practice team.
- Complete client case studies and learning material like blogs and media.
- Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
- Attend internal networking events, both in person and virtual.
- Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of Tech and Enterprise industry work experience.
- Right to work in your country of residence for a minimum of 24 months.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and OpenStack.
- Significant experience with Ansible operation and playbook creation.
- Bash shell scripting experience.
- Experience creating and maintaining Python development environments on both Windows (preferably WSL2) and MacOS.
- Extensive experience with Github.
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong ability to manage projects.
- Experience with Postgres databases.
- Experience with Python programming.
- An independent and proactive contributor.
- A project owner with confidence and leadership attributes.
- A BA/BS degree.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Helm chart development or Kustomize.
- Experience managing cloud environments such as AWS or GCS.
- AI knowledge and experience.
- Keeping abreast of tech product market trends.
- Previous tech experience at companies like Cisco, Meta, Google, Apple, or Microsoft.
