What You'll Do
Design and maintain automated deployment systems for software across secure, airgapped, on-premises, remote, and cloud environments. You'll help optimize infrastructure scalability and reliability by refining provisioning workflows and supporting development teams with on-demand AWS resource allocation.
Enhance monitoring capabilities by building metrics and health checks for cloud resources. Collaborate with security teams to uphold compliance with NIST and STIG standards. Streamline developer workflows by improving tooling for testing and deploying code in cloud environments.
Support client deployments by troubleshooting, tuning performance, and managing updates. You'll also contribute to orchestration strategies that balance efficiency and performance through intelligent scaling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Active US Security clearance or willingness to undergo sponsorship
- Minimum of 3 years in cloud infrastructure management and provisioning
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and AWS for infrastructure automation
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab configuration
- Proficiency in Python and Bash for scripting and automation
- Understanding of Linux (CentOS) and Windows environments
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus
- Knowledge of software security practices and build configurations
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification(s)
- Experience operating within AWS GovCloud environments
- Background in networking and virtualization technologies, including firewalls, iptables, VMs, and container networking
- Exposure to test and QA automation frameworks
- Experience with code quality and security scanning tools like SonarQube
Technical Environment
Work with a stack built around Terraform, Ansible, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus, Python, Bash, CentOS, Windows, and SonarQube. The role emphasizes automation, security, and operational precision across heterogeneous environments.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position with office locations in Minneapolis/St. Paul and Washington, DC. Candidates must be able to work on-site at least three days per week. The role requires a US Security clearance or eligibility for sponsorship.
