Design, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure across secure, airgapped, on-premises, and public cloud environments. You'll play a key role in shaping how systems are provisioned, monitored, and scaled using modern DevOps practices.
What You'll Do
- Develop automation to track cloud resource health, usage patterns, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance with NIST and STIG standards across cloud-hosted applications.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
- Optimize developer workflows by improving deployment, testing, and runtime processes in cloud environments.
- Implement intelligent scaling strategies for containerized workloads to balance performance and efficiency.
- Support updates and maintenance of deployed systems at client sites.
- Partner with client engineering teams to monitor, analyze, and tune infrastructure performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Minimum of 3 years working with cloud infrastructure provisioning and operations.
- Familiarity with software security principles, CI/CD pipeline setup, and configuration (e.g., GitLab CI/CD files).
- Experience reading and modifying Dockerfiles, managing containers via Kubernetes, and provisioning infrastructure with Terraform.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud platforms, Prometheus for monitoring, and scripting in Python and Bash.
- Proficiency with Linux (including CentOS) and Windows operating systems.
- Active US Security clearance or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
- Experience operating in AWS GovCloud environments.
- Solid understanding of networking and virtualization technologies, including firewalls, iptables, VMs, container networking, and ingress routing.
- Background in test automation or QA engineering for infrastructure and pipelines.
- Experience integrating code quality and security scanning tools like SonarQube into development workflows.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid role with primary locations in Minneapolis/St. Paul and Washington, DC. Employees are expected to work on-site at least three days per week.
