About the Role
The position involves managing environmental investigations, leading field teams, preparing technical reports, and interfacing with clients and regulators to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Lead environmental site assessments and subsurface investigations
- Manage field sampling activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor
- Prepare technical reports such as Phase I and Phase II ESAs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Supervise and mentor junior staff in field and office settings
- Coordinate with clients to understand project goals and constraints
- Develop and implement health and safety plans for field operations
- Review analytical data from laboratories for quality and consistency
- Prepare regulatory submissions and correspondence
- Conduct site inspections and compliance audits
- Support remediation system design and performance monitoring
- Assist in the development of project proposals and scopes of work
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Perform data analysis and interpretation for environmental findings
- Utilize GIS and other technical software for mapping and reporting
- Participate in emergency response activities when required
- Maintain accurate field logs and documentation
- Interface with regulatory agencies during site reviews and closures
- Support due diligence efforts for property transactions
- Ensure adherence to company quality assurance protocols
- Conduct risk assessments for contaminated sites
- Prepare closure and remediation completion reports
- Stay current with evolving environmental standards and practices
- Support litigation support and expert testimony preparation
- Coordinate with subcontractors and third-party vendors
