About the Role

The position involves managing environmental investigations, leading field teams, preparing technical reports, and interfacing with clients and regulators to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental site assessments and subsurface investigations
  • Manage field sampling activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor
  • Prepare technical reports such as Phase I and Phase II ESAs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff in field and office settings
  • Coordinate with clients to understand project goals and constraints
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans for field operations
  • Review analytical data from laboratories for quality and consistency
  • Prepare regulatory submissions and correspondence
  • Conduct site inspections and compliance audits
  • Support remediation system design and performance monitoring
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and scopes of work
  • Manage project budgets and timelines
  • Perform data analysis and interpretation for environmental findings
  • Utilize GIS and other technical software for mapping and reporting
  • Participate in emergency response activities when required
  • Maintain accurate field logs and documentation
  • Interface with regulatory agencies during site reviews and closures
  • Support due diligence efforts for property transactions
  • Ensure adherence to company quality assurance protocols
  • Conduct risk assessments for contaminated sites
  • Prepare closure and remediation completion reports
  • Stay current with evolving environmental standards and practices
  • Support litigation support and expert testimony preparation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and third-party vendors
