Halozyme, Inc. is looking for a Specialty Account Manager in Pasadena, CA to drive new prescriptions for our products. You will educate and sell to targeted specialties including Urologists, Endocrinologists, Rheumatologists, and Primary Care Providers, while maintaining in-depth knowledge of disease states and payer programs.
What You'll Do
- Deliver company-approved, science-driven sales presentations to target prescribers and their office staff.
- Apply segmentation data to customize presentations to individual physicians.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of managed health care plans and state and federal reimbursement policies to ensure product access.
- Educate physicians and nurses on how to guide patients to self-inject.
- Educate physicians and staff on Halozyme product labels and partnerships.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years selling specialty pharmaceutical products (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered).
- Knowledge of prescription pull-through tactics.
- Ability to conduct sales calls, build rapport, and make presentations to surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, hospital administration, payers, insurers, health-care providers, peers, and co-workers.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
