GitLab was looking for a SMB Account Manager

Appspace is hiring an SMB Account Manager to join our Renewal & Expansion team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, fostering long-term business relationships, and driving revenue growth through renewals and expansion.

What You'll Do

  • Own the post-sales end-to-end customer relationship for assigned accounts, deeply understanding account health and sentiment to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and provide solutions that support growth through upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customers to set clear and achievable goals for their success at both the user and executive levels.
  • Monitor renewal risk indicators and take proactive actions in partnership with internal teams to mitigate risk.
  • Manage and assist with escalations to ensure timely and high-quality resolutions to customer issues.
  • Carry a Net Revenue Retention (NRR) quota with specific metrics associated with the revenue and renewal cycle.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of successful experience as a quota-carrying Account Manager or Customer Success Manager within the SaaS industry.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding individual and team revenue targets.
  • A deep understanding of the sales cycle and customer retention strategies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • A cross-functional collaborator who is adaptable, self-disciplined, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
  • A resourceful problem solver who effectively manages competing priorities and raises issues through the correct channels.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the security industry.
  • Knowledge of DMARC, email authentication, and cybersecurity.

You will be a key member of our Renewal & Expansion team, focused on driving customer success and revenue retention.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation base salary of $90,000 - $100,000 with a variable target of $40,000 - $45,000, plus eligibility to participate in our equity plan.
