OpenSC is hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager to design the future of our product and scale our data-centric platform. You will bring product and data best practices to a fast-paced environment dedicated to a critical mission: transforming global food systems to tackle the climate crisis and protect people and the planet.
What You'll Do
- Translate the company's product vision into a clear, actionable roadmap focused on scalability and user value.
- Champion the integration of AI and automation into the product, identifying areas for leverage, scale, and user impact.
- Ensure prioritization is grounded in user insight, data, and business value.
- Build out and own artefacts representing a unified view of the product roadmap.
- Be part of the full product development lifecycle from discovery to delivery, driving feature definition, scope, and execution.
- Work closely with data and engineering teams to build robust, scalable, and user-friendly features.
- Use experimentation, analytics, and user research to iterate and optimize product performance.
- Balance short-term improvements with long-term infrastructure and technical debt management.
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, clearly articulating product decisions, rationale, and trade-offs.
- Facilitate alignment across teams, ensuring the roadmap reflects shared priorities and company-wide goals.
- Coordinate teams to align on deliverables and set timelines, holding people accountable for commitments.
- Leverage background in data, ML, or engineering to make informed decisions and guide complex problem-solving.
- Apply systems thinking to data flows, model application, and how technical architecture impacts user experience.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of overall experience, including product roles.
- At least 2 years in a company building data products.
- Prior hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or data engineering (e.g., building models, designing data workflows, expertise with model-driven products).
- Strong technical fluency and ability to partner with engineers and data scientists.
- Proven ability to own and drive product roadmaps, from 0→1 as well as scaling existing products.
- Experience moving from a technical role into product, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Great stakeholder management, able to influence across all levels, align cross-functional teams, and communicate with clarity.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with engineering and design in agile or lean product environments.
- High level of comfort with ambiguity, thriving in a small team with evolving priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
- You must be based in Europe.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with data modeling and orchestrating tools (i.e., Dagster, Airflow, etc).

- AWS cloud and services (e.g., EKS, EC2, RDS, SQS/SNS, Lambda, S3).
- APIs built with Spring Boot (Kotlin).
- Python-first tech stack direction.
- Data pipelines orchestrated by Dagster (Python).
- Data stored in S3 and Postgres.
- Transformations written using dbt.
- Data applications built in Plotly Dash (Python).
- Web apps built in React.js.
- Code deployed using CircleCI and Github Actions.
- Infrastructure deployment using terraform.
- Blockchain component developed with Node.js, integrating IPFS and Ethereum.
