Role Overview
As a Senior Surgical Account Manager, you will lead strategic sales initiatives across the Twin Cities region, focusing on expanding adoption of the full Surgical Center of Technology portfolio. You will serve as the primary liaison between internal account teams and external stakeholders, shaping contractual strategies and driving performance through data-informed planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central contact for cross-functional account teams, including District Managers, Sales Area Directors, Sales Operations Specialists, and specialty portfolio groups in GYN and Hernia.
- Design and implement account-specific contracting strategies to optimize performance and support category growth.
- Lead quarterly Customer Business Reviews to assess outcomes, identify expansion opportunities, and align on future goals.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clinical and economic decision-makers across healthcare organizations.
- Promote utilization of core Surgical technologies, including Stapling, Energy, Wound Closure, Electrosurgery, Situate, and Access & Instrumentation.
- Strengthen partnerships with field distribution networks and leverage account insights to improve market penetration.
- Use business intelligence to shape sales strategies and increase competitive positioning within the region.
Qualifications
A combination of education and experience is accepted. Candidates must meet one of the following: a High School Diploma with at least 8 years of field sales experience, an Associate’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years in field sales.
Preferred candidates will have a history of success in medical device or healthcare sales, particularly in surgical environments. Experience engaging both clinical and administrative leaders, interpreting market trends, and delivering complex product value propositions is highly valued. Proficiency in CRM platforms such as SF.com and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Work Environment
This is a locally based role requiring residency within the Twin Cities territory. The position involves regular travel to customer sites and partner locations. A valid driver’s license is necessary.
