You'll lead end-to-end management of a dedicated book of business, guiding clients through plan design, implementation, and ongoing optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a high-performing sales pipeline using referrals, professional networks, and strategic outreach, consistently meeting and exceeding annual targets.
- Present comprehensive retirement and wealth solutions to prospects, clearly articulating value through client meetings, industry events, and formal presentations.
- Lead client engagements by assessing organizational goals, designing customized plan structures, and delivering ongoing consultation to sponsors and fiduciaries.
- Advise on investment options and conduct benchmarking analyses to ensure plans remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA and evolving regulatory requirements, including non-discrimination testing, plan amendments, and fiduciary education.
- Collaborate with internal specialists to support plan administration and respond to RFPs, showcasing firm capabilities and strategic advantages.
- Stay current on legislative changes and market trends, translating complex updates into actionable guidance for clients.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a proven history of sales achievement and at least two years of experience in retirement plan services or related fields. Strong knowledge of fiduciary standards and regulatory frameworks is essential, along with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms like Salesforce is required. The role involves independent decision-making, effective time management, and adaptability in a changing environment. A valid securities license or the ability to obtain one within 100 days is mandatory. Up to 25% travel is expected.
Education and Background
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in retirement plan sales or consulting is highly valued.
