Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer - Egypt, Kuwait & Bahrain

About the Role

The Senior Solutions Engineer provides technical pre-sales support to enterprise clients, designing solutions and demonstrating product capabilities through presentations and proof-of-concept trials. This role requires strong expertise in networking, security, and SaaS environments, along with excellent communication skills to engage customers at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer business goals and challenges into tailored Cloudflare solutions
  • Establish trusted relationships and cultivate technical advocates within customer organizations
  • Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders across all levels of enterprise customer companies
  • Lead demonstration and proof-of-concept initiatives for prospective and existing customers
  • Share technical expertise with peers by producing white papers, blog content, and participating in knowledge exchange
  • Promote the company’s mission and technology at developer, cybersecurity, and industry events
  • Apply deep domain or vertical-specific knowledge to guide customers on best practices

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a customer-facing technical role involving CDN, security, networking, or SaaS
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, collaborative, and action-oriented mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including for customer meetings, conferences, and team collaboration
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of customer network and application architectures
  • In-depth knowledge of user-to-application workflows, including hybrid environments using Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Familiarity with application and network security principles
  • Experience with SaaS application environments
  • Knowledge of VPN and remote access issues
  • Understanding of SIEM and log analytics platforms
  • Foundational knowledge of client operating systems and software deployment
  • Experience communicating network and security transformation to senior executives
  • Technical grasp of routing, subnetting, split tunneling, SD-WAN, and local internet breakout
  • Awareness of end-user and application security threats such as DDoS, malware, phishing, and viruses
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape of CDN and internet security technologies
