The Senior Solutions Engineer provides technical pre-sales support to enterprise clients, designing solutions and demonstrating product capabilities through presentations and proof-of-concept trials. This role requires strong expertise in networking, security, and SaaS environments, along with excellent communication skills to engage customers at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer business goals and challenges into tailored Cloudflare solutions
- Establish trusted relationships and cultivate technical advocates within customer organizations
- Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders across all levels of enterprise customer companies
- Lead demonstration and proof-of-concept initiatives for prospective and existing customers
- Share technical expertise with peers by producing white papers, blog content, and participating in knowledge exchange
- Promote the company’s mission and technology at developer, cybersecurity, and industry events
- Apply deep domain or vertical-specific knowledge to guide customers on best practices
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a customer-facing technical role involving CDN, security, networking, or SaaS
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, collaborative, and action-oriented mindset
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including for customer meetings, conferences, and team collaboration
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of customer network and application architectures
- In-depth knowledge of user-to-application workflows, including hybrid environments using Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Familiarity with application and network security principles
- Experience with SaaS application environments
- Knowledge of VPN and remote access issues
- Understanding of SIEM and log analytics platforms
- Foundational knowledge of client operating systems and software deployment
- Experience communicating network and security transformation to senior executives
- Technical grasp of routing, subnetting, split tunneling, SD-WAN, and local internet breakout
- Awareness of end-user and application security threats such as DDoS, malware, phishing, and viruses
- Familiarity with the competitive landscape of CDN and internet security technologies
