Illumina, Inc. is looking for a Senior Sales Manager - Italy to lead the execution of our commercial strategies and drive sales objectives. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will manage a team of Territory Account Managers and be responsible for meeting budgeted annual sales and profit goals for the district.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and monitor the district business plan to meet assigned revenue and strategic objectives.
- Direct, support, and motivate the district sales team to meet agreed targets.
- Establish territory quotas and achieve quarterly and annual sales and profit plans.
- Routinely forecast, monitor, and control selling and other expenses for the district within assigned budgets.
- Accurately forecast customer demand for products and orders.
- Ensure sales staff achieve forecasts, follow company guidelines, and receive development plans to correct underperformance.
- Uphold and improve Illumina's commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Lead talent acquisition, development, and performance management for your team.
What We're Looking For
- A life sciences background.
- Experience selling technology, medical devices, or capital equipment.
- Familiarity with public tenders and a clinical environment.
- Sales and people management experience.
- Sales force experience.
- Accurate forecasting abilities.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related subject area.
Nice to Have
- Significant sales experience in the Life Science industry.
- Sales management experience in the Life Science industry.
- Ability to build relationships at every level in the organization.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills.
