Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a strong focus on major accounts
- Build multi-threaded, executive-level relationships across client organisations
- Lead the full sales cycle: discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and closing
- Drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives across divisions and business units
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Acturis platform, its capabilities, and application to a client needs
- Lead and deliver compelling in-person and virtual product demonstrations tailored to client needs
- Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, technical requirements, and strategic partnership structures
- Leverage market data, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to refine sales strategy
- Position new features, modules, and enhancements aligned with customer pain points
- Provide clear client and market insights to product and leadership teams to influence roadmap direction
- Maintain a detailed CRM pipeline with accurate forecasting and prospect qualification
- Document all sales activity, progress, and performance metrics with precision
- Balance workload effectively across prospecting, demos, follow-up and stakeholder engagement
- Represent Acturis at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Support the growth and recruitment of regional sales staff as our presence expands across Canada
- Collaborate closely with product, solutions, and executive teams to support complex deals
Requirements
- A proven track record of success in Insurance or Technology sales
- Deep knowledge of the insurance industry and its processes
- 10+ years of experience in the insurance sector
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and executive relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated comfort with IT and software solutions
- A logical, problem-solving mindset with the ability to present multiple solution paths
- The ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to changing product functionality
- High levels of initiative, autonomy, and motivation
