F.H. Paschen is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects and teams. This managerial role is responsible for developing plans, directing activities, and achieving key construction objectives through budgeting, production planning, staffing, and business development.
What You'll Do
- Develop plans and direct overall activities to achieve construction objectives.
- Manage budgeting, production planning, staffing, and the hiring needs for the regional office.
- Plan, organize, and staff office and field positions.
- Provide overall supervisory responsibility for Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, Administrative Staff, and Field Personnel.
- Work with the General Superintendent on assignments and to plan, organize, and direct all department activities.
- Work with the General Superintendent and Project Managers to ensure projects are on schedule and meet owner expectations.
- Train and develop office personnel.
- Lead business development, including monitoring for bid opportunities and meeting with owners, architects, and engineers to build a project pipeline.
- Develop strategy for office sustainability and growth.
- Work with the VP to implement standards, set and monitor goals for purchase orders, billings, profitability, and office overhead budgets.
- Ensure management and cost reports are properly maintained.
- Monitor owner satisfaction and ensure adherence to company policies in the regional office.
- Provide final approval for job budgets, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Ensure prompt billing, payments to owners, and monitor payments to subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to EEO/Affirmative Action policies and implementation of Corporate Safety and Quality programs.
- Monitor contract compliance for MBE/WBE subcontracting and hiring goal requirements.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of construction experience.
- Experience with a general contractor managing projects or programs.
- Ability to manage projects and personnel simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management.
- Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management and Scheduling, plus excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Advanced understanding of production methods, construction processes, and supervision of people and projects.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.
- Proven ability to manage.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Experience in budgeting, production planning, and staffing.
Nice to Have
- Estimating and JOC (Job Order Contracting) proposal experience.
Team & Environment
This role supervises Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, Administrative Staff, and Field Personnel. You will work closely with a General Superintendent and report to a VP.
