Position Overview
Oversee and direct a field team responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment at client locations, with a primary focus on secure corrections environments. This role is central to ensuring operational efficiency, project accuracy, and team development through consistent leadership and on-site coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of installation technicians and field supervisors, providing guidance, performance feedback, and on-the-job training
- Lead site assessments for new and existing clients to evaluate technical requirements and logistical needs
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues in collaboration with technical staff
- Coordinate equipment procurement, order tracking, and inventory planning in alignment with project timelines
- Manage scheduling, travel logistics, and resource allocation for installation projects
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, project deadlines, and quality standards across all deployments
- Support cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to execute installations smoothly and efficiently
- Travel frequently to client facilities for project walk-throughs, on-site supervision, and troubleshooting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of eight years of experience in installation, technical field operations, or construction project management
- Proven leadership background managing technical teams or field crews
- Proficiency in multitasking, problem-solving, and meeting project deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 85% of the time
- Physical capability to climb ladders, carry equipment, and lift objects up to and exceeding 50 pounds
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience as a lead technician, foreman, or field supervisor in construction or technical installations
Work Environment
This is a remote-based position with extensive travel (up to 85%) to client sites, primarily within corrections facilities. Work is conducted both in field environments and remotely, requiring adaptability and consistent communication.
