What You'll Do
Lead detailed geological evaluations of potential CO₂ storage sites, from regional screening to pore-scale analysis, using data-driven methodologies. Conduct subsurface interpretation and modeling with industry-standard software to assess storage potential in both sedimentary basins and crystalline rock systems.
Direct geological mapping initiatives across Canada to locate and rank viable storage formations, including saline aquifers, depleted reservoirs, and mineralization targets. Perform technical assessments to evaluate capacity, injectivity, and long-term containment, incorporating uncertainty analysis into decision-making.
Apply expertise in diverse lithologies to interpret core samples, well logs, and geophysical data in support of drilling and site characterization programs. Contribute to regulatory submissions and feasibility studies for carbon capture and storage hubs, ensuring technical rigor and compliance.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, coordinating internal teams and external contractors. Provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary projects and guide environmental assessments and data acquisition campaigns.
