As a Senior Estimator, you will lead the development of cost strategies for high-impact, non-routine projects within a critical national sector. Your expertise will directly influence bid outcomes, tender submissions, and long-term project delivery by delivering reliable, data-driven cost forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement comprehensive estimating frameworks, including foundational assumptions and ground rules.
- Choose and apply suitable estimation techniques—bottom-up, top-down, parametric, and comparative—based on project complexity and data availability.
- Design and manage clear, auditable cost models used across bidding, tendering, and project control phases.
- Perform detailed risk, sensitivity, and uncertainty assessments to strengthen decision-making.
- Document and apply lessons learned to continuously improve estimating accuracy and standard practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience estimating full project cost components across multiple delivery phases and contract types, including FIDIC, NEC, and JCT.
- Demonstrated ability to manage estimating work across diverse engineering or technical programmes.
- Eligibility and ability to maintain Security Check (SC) clearance is mandatory.
