Babcock International is hiring a Senior Estimator to set the cost strategy for complex, non‑routine projects across our Marine business. In this role, you will choose estimating approaches, build robust cost models, and provide critical insight for bids, tenders, and project delivery. What You'll Do
- Develop the estimating plan and structure, including ground rules and assumptions.
- Select and apply the most appropriate methodologies (bottom‑up, top‑down, comparative and parametric).
- Build and maintain transparent cost models for bids, tenders and project controls.
- Conduct sensitivity, risk and uncertainty analysis to inform decisions.
- Capture lessons learned to refine norms and improve future estimates.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering estimates across multiple projects, products/services and lifecycle phases.
- Expertise in estimating all project cost elements using bottom‑up, top‑down, comparative and parametric approaches.
- Experience working with diverse contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT).
- Must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
