This is a Senior Engineering Manager role within Canva's Ecosystem Supergroup, leading the Solutions Sub Group. You will manage three interconnected functions—Solution Engineering, Developer Toolkits, and the System Integrator program—while driving technical delivery, partnership management, and commercial enablement across enterprise customers, AI platform partners, and developers.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of the System Integrator program end-to-end, including partnerships, ways of working, quality standards, and strategic direction
- Work across procurement, product, and engineering to scale the System Integrator delivery model while maintaining architectural quality
- Lead the Solution Engineering team in bridging Canva's technical capabilities with complex enterprise partner and sales needs
- Support high-value deals through architecture guidance, proof-of-concept development, and integration design
- Act as the primary collaboration layer between Solution Engineering and System Integrators to ensure alignment without creating delivery bottlenecks
- Guide the Developer Toolkits team in helping developers and enterprise customers discover what's possible with Canva's platform
- Ensure toolkits, documentation, and developer experiences evolve with AI integrations and agentic workflows
- Shape strategy and influence the product roadmap across Ecosystem products including Apps SDK, App Intents, Data Connectors, and the Integration Platform
- Work closely with go-to-market, sales, and marketing teams
- Feed enterprise customer needs, System Integrator delivery patterns, and partner feedback into the API and platform development roadmap
- Coach and grow people at multiple levels, empowering engineers and developing future engineering leaders
What We're Looking For
- Led engineering teams in a partnerships or platform context, not just internal product delivery
- Understand how to manage external relationships such as vendor partnerships, System Integrator programs, or technical sales enablement
- Have strong commercial and go-to-market instincts
- Understand how technical capabilities translate into customer and business value
- Be comfortable working closely with sales, partnerships, and marketing
- Be able to manage diverse team types simultaneously: internal engineering teams, solution engineering functions, and external System Integrator partnerships
- Context-switch between different team types and apply appropriate leadership approaches

- Ability to provide guidance, set quality standards, and write code when needed
- Experience scaling teams and programs
