Tetra Tech's Advisory Consulting Group is hiring a Senior Consultant/Principal to interpret environmental regulations and develop solutions for complex client challenges. You will manage projects across due diligence, EHS compliance, and remediation while building key client relationships and leading business development efforts.
What You'll Do
- Interpret federal, state, and local agency regulations and evaluate their effect on client operations and liabilities.
- Develop and implement solutions to assist clients in minimizing risk.
- Analyze, oversee, and review project work products such as technical data, calculations, reports, cost estimates, and permit applications.
- Scope and direct projects, including leadership of project teams.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and help direct work for multi-project clients, supervising teams of up to 10 consultants.
- Help develop and support strategic initiatives for continued work with key clients and business sectors.
- Maintain quality control on projects and administrative tasks.
- Work independently to perform project tasks, design, calculations, and reporting.
- Be a point of contact for clients and maintain positive client relationships.
- Engage and retain relationships with commercial, industrial, financial, law, energy firms, government, and investment groups.
- Assist with proposals, including development of technical plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Actively participate with local, regional, and global project teams to develop strategic client and opportunity capture plans.
- Manage RFPs, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and project implementation.
- Capitalize on industry relationships to maintain and establish new client relationships.
- Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities through independent leads, collaborative pursuits, and cross-selling.
- Assist in further developing the EHS Department’s offerings for compliance software and other risk management solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering, geology, or closely related environmental science field.
- 18+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a closely related field.
- Experience performing EHS audits for a variety of industries.
- Experience moving projects vertically from due diligence phases to operational phases.
- Excellent time management skills, highly organized, disciplined, and able to work collaboratively across a diverse business enterprise.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to think and act critically and strategically.
- Experience with site investigations and remediation.
- Ability to perform field work in various environmental factors.
- Ability to travel and perform field work (approximately 10%-25% required).
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Nice to Have
- Master of Science (MS) degree in engineering, geology, or a closely related environmental field.
- Expertise conducting multimedia EHS audits across various industries.
- Transactional diligence expertise, including experience with private equity and corporate clientele.
Team & Environment
You will supervise teams of up to 10 consultants and work collaboratively across Tetra Tech's diverse business enterprise.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $100,000 to $130,000
Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, United States, or Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
