About the Role

VSP Vision is looking for a Senior Account Executive - Sporting Goods to expand our eyewear market presence. You will be responsible for selling and servicing eyewear products by managing existing accounts and developing new prospects across industries to achieve market share growth and operational goals.

What You'll Do

  • Develop creative sales strategies to contact prospects, create sales opportunities, and increase revenue.
  • Cultivate strong business relationships with customers and prospective customers.
  • Represent the eyewear line of business in all sales-oriented activities.
  • Work independently, leveraging appropriate partners and colleagues to exceed quota targets while achieving balanced product line results.
  • Apply innovative ideas and product solutions to customer business problems by understanding their requirements.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of existing and new products and services to provide accurate information.
  • Identify and communicate future customer requirements and feedback to the appropriate divisions.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments and customers to ensure service levels and expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development to address customer needs and analyze market data.
  • Utilize a sales automation system to make inquiries, maintain records, and prepare reports.
  • Manage and lead special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five plus years of sales experience with demonstrated account management, servicing, negotiation, and established customer relationships.
  • A results-driven achiever with exemplary planning, organizational skills, and a high degree of detail orientation.
  • A demonstrated track record of meeting sales/revenue goals with small to medium account responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A demonstrated track record in developing business-to-business relationships.
  • A highly adaptable, positive, resilient, patient risk-taker who is open to new ideas.
  • A resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • An innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve problems.
  • A flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring the ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent sales opportunities.
  • An exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Must travel more than 50% of the time.
  • A clean driving record.

  • Experience managing a field sales team.
  • Experience in direct sales and customer service.
  • Experience in the sporting goods COT.
