BASF is seeking a Semi Senior Financial Reporting Analyst LATAM to perform daily tasks and periodic analyses for Financial Reporting, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounting information in SAP and other databases. You will contribute to the preparation of financial reports and notes, execute closing controls, and participate in projects and initiatives within the area.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the correct execution of month-end closing procedures and controls (FRC controls), guaranteeing reporting quality to headquarters.
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual notes to the Financial Statements.
- Perform monthly Account Analysis according to predefined account mapping.
- Prepare defined analytics according to schedule and present them.
- Contribute to various projects and initiatives throughout the year related to process documentation, FRC, testing, audit, and others.
- Support and coordinate with Local Finance regarding activities under your scope (Account Analysis, Analytics, M&A).
- Provide guidance and support to the businesses in the application of IFRS16.
- Be responsible for the creation and maintenance in the system (RFEX) for contracts meeting capitalization criteria under IFRS16, ensuring accounting information quality.
- Comprehensively monitor the Clearing Account, identifying discrepancies and channeling their resolution.
- Support businesses in estimating and projecting costs associated with lease contracts.
- Ensure proper management of invoiced costs.
- Collaborate on tasks related to Fixed Assets as well as the Account Analysis process.
- Maintain constant and proactive communication with various clients and stakeholders, working closely with different areas of the organization.
- Understand the E2E process and its impact within the workflow, evaluating and proposing process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced students or graduates in Public Accounting or Business Administration.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in reporting areas.
- Intermediate oral and written English proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good command of accounting standards.
- Excellent communication skills to maintain constant contact with clients, stakeholders, and other areas of the HUB.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Portuguese is highly valued.
- Experience with Excel macros is valued.
