At Vantage Point, we are looking for a Salesforce Sr. Solution Architect - Financial Services Cloud to play an integral role in our client success. You will own the overall technical design, recommending best-practice solutions to meet complex business needs in the financial services sector.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and document scalable, high-quality business solutions built on the Salesforce platform, specifically Financial Services Cloud.
- Participate in and facilitate customer requirements and solution design workshops.
- Capture and map business requirements to system/technical requirements, identifying gaps and risks.
- Advise customers on overall enterprise architecture and how Salesforce fits into their strategy.
- Manage and participate in the entire software development lifecycle.
- Recommend alternative approaches, analyze impacts, and provide sizing estimates.
- Lead design and code reviews, release planning, and deployment.
- Analyze and mitigate bugs and issues.
- Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing, and work closely with users for acceptance testing.
- Support pre-sales engagements, estimates, and solution design.
- Write technical specifications jointly with the developer team and delegate work.
- Work closely with clients to assess current architecture and architect solutions that meet their needs.
- Articulate the value of recommended solutions to customers.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of consultant experience in a client-facing role.
- 5+ years of Financial Services Cloud implementation experience.
- Strong experience leading technical requirements gathering and solution design sessions.
- Superior experience identifying and documenting business processes, technical requirements, process flow analysis, and data modeling.
- Expertise in one or multiple Financial Services domains: banking (retail, commercial, investment, mortgage lending and servicing), insurance, and wealth & asset management.
- Experience writing user stories to capture business requirements.
- Experience managing a project team for technical solution delivery.
- Strong experience in enterprise-level projects using Agile methodologies.
- Strong experience designing or building Salesforce integrations with third-party systems and with data migrations to Salesforce.
- Familiarity with third-party solutions that support vertical objectives.
- Strong Salesforce development and design skills including Apex, Lightning, SOQL, Flow, and other automation tools.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce's current and future release functionality for Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud.
- Understanding of scalability, maintainability, and when to use declarative vs. code solutions.
- Superior experience with release planning, deployment, testing, and issue mitigation.
- Experience with platform security, sharing, and visibility.
- Strong experience leading client training and demoing solutions.
- Financial Services Cloud Accreditation.
Nice to Have
- Salesforce Application Architect and System Architect Certifications.
- Experience with integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Boomi, or Informatica.
