About the Role

At Marshalls PLC, we are looking for a Sales Specification Manager (officially titled Project Specification Manager) to join our team. This is a field-based role covering London, including East London, South East London, Ilford, and Romford. You will be instrumental in shaping commercial landscape projects from the earliest stages, blending sales, specification, and business development to secure product specifications and drive long-term growth.

What You'll Do

  • Seek out commercial project opportunities within commercial markets.
  • Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders across the construction supply chain, including landscape architects, local authorities, housebuilders, consultant engineers, and main contractor design teams.
  • Guide high-profile developments from vision to reality by understanding unique project needs and providing expert advice and tailored solutions.
  • Influence key decision-makers to secure product specifications.
  • Drive long-term growth through specification sales and business development.
  • Engage in prospecting, securing customer visits, and managing CRM project engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • A proven track record in specification sales within the construction sector.
  • Solid grasp of technical specifications and product applications.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and keen commercial awareness.
  • Ability to identify and win project opportunities.
  • Sales and performance-oriented, driven by targets and achieving outstanding results.
  • Experienced and effective in business development, prospecting, securing customer visits, and CRM project engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to extensive travel and working environment.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • You must live within your designated sales patch (London area).

Work Mode
