Medtronic is seeking a Sales Representative II to join our Spine division in Wilmington, NC. In this field-based role, you’ll be responsible for selling our Spinal and Biologics products, managing customer relationships, and providing essential support in hospital settings. Our mission is to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life through bold engineering and healthcare solutions.
What You'll Do
- Make field sales calls, solicit orders, and sell assigned Medtronic Spinal and Biologics products.
- Maintain consignments and loaner inventory, moving sets between accounts as needed.
- Provide field service and surgical case coverage for customers.
- Aggressively visit hospitals and prospective customers to solicit orders and expand market share.
- Handle customer complaints per company policy and escalate when necessary.
- Recommend modifications to product offerings based on market feedback.
- Meet or exceed sales quota and total company market share in your territory.
- Monitor competitor products and merchandising practices.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows.
- Assist in the field training of other sales personnel as requested.
- Create and implement an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
- Submit required reports and maintain accurate customer records.
- Adhere to company policies and conduct all business ethically.
- Manage business with a focus on profitability.
- Travel significantly within the assigned territory for cases, account calls, and meetings.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
- OR an Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years of relevant experience.
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years of relevant experience.
- A valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
- Ability to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory, which may include overnight travel.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Orthopedics, Spine, or Operating Room (O.R.) experience.

You will report directly to a District Sales Manager and collaborate with a team dedicated to advancing spinal healthcare.

This is a field-based, territory role located in Wilmington, NC, requiring significant local travel to hospitals and accounts.
