Top Hat was looking for a Sales Representative

Top Hat is looking for a Sales Representative to help change the future of education. You will manage and grow a territory of colleges and universities, develop relationships with professors, and convert them into clients to enhance teaching methods and learning outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Find, create, facilitate, and close new business opportunities in assigned accounts.
  • Represent and sell the full suite of Top Hat and approved partner products and services, including digital textbook content and SaaS platform.
  • Effectively position and message Top Hat's value proposition to professors or department leaders using inside and outside sales techniques.
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers and internal product and marketing partners to ensure a great customer experience and maximize revenue growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Highly motivated, achievement-oriented, and excited to join a team driving change in higher education.
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales role.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Sales skills including ability to identify, drive, and close large/complex deals, prospect effectively, and run the full sales cycle (cold calling, demos, discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, closing).
  • Ambitious with drive to succeed.
  • Experience working in a metrics-driven environment and remaining positive when facing objections.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply feedback/coaching quickly.
  • Must be located within the Greater Salt Lake City area due to travel requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to professors in person on campus.
