nVent is hiring a Sales Manager for the Southeastern US Region to lead our sales teams in delivering exceptional customer service while actively hunting and closing new business. You will partner cross-functionally to align sales, marketing, pricing, and distribution strategies with our organizational goals.
What You'll Do
- Develop strategic plans to achieve growth objectives and goals.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales activity.
- Develop rapport and establish strategic relationships with current and potential customers.
- Deliver powerful presentations communicating nVent's value proposition to management teams and customer groups.
- Build and advocate deal strategies for both short-term projects and long-range partnerships across various sales channels.
- Plan and execute a weekly travel schedule to meet required customer meetings.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5+ years of experience in account management.
- Technical sales experience is required.
- Consultative and strategic sales experience selling into the refining, power, or heavy industrial industries.
- Ability to travel on average 50% of the time, dependent on territory needs.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Experience leading a team of sales professionals.
- Experience managing a multi-channel sales region.
- Experience selling direct to owners in a site facility environment.
