WatchGuard is hiring a Sales Engineer to drive revenue growth in an assigned geographic area within the Middle East region. Reporting to the Manager of Southern Europe Sales Engineering, you will work through a 100% partner-led sales model, collaborating closely with VARs, MSSPs, resellers, and distributors as the primary technical liaison.
What You'll Do
- Forge strategic relationships with channel partners to help them develop, support, and sell WatchGuard solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for end users interested in purchasing WatchGuard’s product lines.
- Train and support partners, provide demos to both partners and customers.
- Assist in customer evaluations and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Deliver technical enablement and answer questions from customers relating to WatchGuard solutions.
- Help answer RFPs and provide customer and partner feedback to the Product Management team.
- Act as a trusted security advisor and work closely with sales teams during sales calls and meetings to evangelize WatchGuard solutions.
- Identify, develop, and expand technical relationships with key 'indirect' reseller partners in territory.
- Drive revenue growth through reseller partners by providing pre-sales technical support and technical trainings.
- Assist field sales with pre-sales and post-sales support.
- Increase reseller, partner, and end user adoption of WatchGuard’s products through tradeshows and training (seminars, webinars, technical trainings, etc.).
- Drive coordination of inter-departmental technical resources as needed to close prospective opportunities.
- Escalate and resolve partner and customer issues when appropriate.
- Assist evaluation customers with the setup and configuration of all WatchGuard products.
- Identify and report on competitive trends (products, promotions, etc.).
- Create technical content to present to various audiences including end users and partners.
What We're Looking For
- Five (5)+ years pre-sales technical experience working for a reseller or manufacturer.
- Demonstrated experience supporting customers and partners across the Middle East region.
- Must have experience with network security technologies, particularly UTM solutions.
- Strong networking background including TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, SD-WAN.
- Endpoint security experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance competing priorities.
- Ability to self-manage and work remotely.
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in English communications.
Nice to Have
- WatchGuard product knowledge or other key competitor product knowledge.
- Experience with SASE is a plus.
- WatchGuard or competitor technical & sales certifications recommended.
