Lumen is hiring a Sales Development Representative

About the Role

Lumen is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be focused on generating and qualifying leads for our sales organization by engaging directly with IT decision makers.

What You'll Do

  • Make 75+ outbound calls per day to marketing-provided leads
  • Process inbound calls and customer chats with professional service
  • Engage with IT decision makers in medium and large businesses
  • Conduct BANT qualification discussions to identify prospect needs
  • Develop and deliver tailored value propositions and elevator pitches
  • Maintain follow-up touches via email and social media channels
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospects and the sales team
  • Execute warm hand-offs to sales representatives for seamless transitions
  • Track activity metrics to ensure funnel progression and productivity
  • Route inquiries to appropriate departments as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Experience making high-volume outbound calls in a professional setting
  • Ability to conduct BANT or similar sales qualification conversations
  • Proven skill engaging with IT decision makers
  • Strong track record of scheduling qualified meetings for sales teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to track and report on key activity metrics

Benefits & Compensation

  • Location-Based Pay Ranges: $37,296 - $49,728 in AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
  • $39,165 - $52,217 in CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
  • $41,034 - $54,705 in AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
