Thomson Reuters is hiring a Sales Development Representative to prospect for business opportunities and cultivate relationships that drive growth. In this role, you will move unidentified leads to scored leads, setting appointments for Account Executives.
What You'll Do
- Make outbound phone calls to customers and prospects to set appointments for sales teams.
- Identify, generate, and qualify new sales leads using customer analytics and predictive marketing.
- Explain the benefits of Thomson Reuters products and services to potential clients concisely.
- Prospect new customers and leads assigned as part of a pooled resource group.
- Understand specific customer archetypes and needs within your subsegment and territory.
- Acquire contact data for prospect identification.
- Run sales campaigns, including creating sequenced email and video campaigns.
- Utilize social media platforms to connect and further score potential leads.
- Provide feedback to Marketing on demand generation campaign effectiveness.
- Provide feedback to Value Proposition on persona and product packaging effectiveness.
- Use an automated and insight-driven Salesforce workflow to progress deals.
- Pilot new sales enablement tools.
- Track qualifying data in CRM to properly score leads.
What We're Looking For
- One or more years of B2B or B2C inside sales experience.
- Outbound prospecting experience, successfully generating new business.
- An ability to tell a story with enthusiasm, communicate and influence others over phone, email, video.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, sales automation, CRM, and/or web-based software programs.
- Goal oriented, driven to succeed.
- Technical aptitude for learning products, solving problems and relating to people.
- Collaborative team player.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.

- A 4-year degree (BA, BS) is preferred.
