About the Role

Cisco Systems, Inc. is looking for a Sales Business Development Manager - Splunk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for structuring and drafting sales transactions, focusing on transactional health and compliance with Governmental purchasing regulations for the State & Local Government/Higher-Education (SLED) territory. You will draft Order Documents and support customer-facing negotiations.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate strategic deals as part of the Deal Strategy and Execution (DSE) organization.
  • Be an expert on Splunk buying programs and metrics.
  • Meet with internal teams to determine the most appropriate deal structure by understanding the impact to ARR/iACV and analyzing solutions for Splunk and the customer.
  • Assist and drive conversations, coordinate related parties, next steps, gaps, and escalations.
  • Manage the Order Document process end-to-end, negotiate directly with customers, and facilitate internal back-end partners.
  • Provide sales training and enablement on deal structure and pricing, acting as a trusted partner to sales leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of strategic deal management experience supporting sales in a fast-growing enterprise software company.
  • Excellent communication and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.

Nice to Have

  • A strong background in Public Sector business with an understanding of Government procurement, GWACs, and Government budgeting.
  • Experience in sales, financial planning and analysis, or sales operations analysis preferred; an MBA is a plus.

Work Mode

This is a fully remote position for candidates located in the Eastern United States.
