About the Role

At Univar Solutions, we are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for growing business with both new and existing customers in the chemical and ingredients distribution industry. Your focus will be on consultative selling, prospecting, and managing the sales funnel within your assigned territory.

What You'll Do

  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers by managing and growing accounts.
  • Build profitable sales in an assigned territory, calling on customers within the oil and gas industry, mainly focusing on the downstream and midstream business segment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver top-tier service, technical support, and safe and innovative solutions to customers.
  • Prioritize selling time and results to effectively manage your sales funnel and territory. Be relentless to win back lost customers.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 10 years of sales experience in a similar role within the B2B sales environment and a demonstrated track record of success in building relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • You’re self-directed and focused on outcomes. You take initiative, act decisively, and consistently deliver results.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • You’re a good listener and are curious, with a passion for learning about the customers’ needs, solving problems, and winning business.
  • You plan and prepare so you can conduct effective sales calls, make persuasive presentations, handle objections, negotiate, demonstrate value, and close deals.
  • Willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
