Lamar Advertising Company was looking for a Sales Account Executive

Lamar Advertising Company is hiring a Sales Account Executive to bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Buffalo, NY and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives by developing long-term advertising relationships within an assigned territory.

What You'll Do

  • Meet and exceed sales targets, monitoring your personal sales data and reports.
  • Target businesses in your assigned area, visiting established Lamar clients and competitor's clients within a specified timeframe.
  • Exhibit a working knowledge of local and national competition.
  • Cluster accounts to work them efficiently and identify potential growth areas to open new accounts.
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, prepare proposals and presentations, and conduct research.
  • Develop presentation skills using computer tools and present to clients regularly.
  • Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans a month in advance.
  • Follow up on all client production orders and problem-solve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of clients and sales activity.

What We're Looking For

  • Current and Valid Driver’s License.
  • 5+ years of proven sales or media experience, including high-end B2B product sales.
  • Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in-person.
  • Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures.
  • Align with values of inclusivity and communicate effectively with people of various backgrounds.
  • Motivation to learn new technology and systems.
  • Ability to exhibit effective time management and self-organization.
  • Willingness to immerse yourself in the outdoor advertising industry to sell its benefits.
  • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform effectively under fluctuating workloads.
  • A knack for making connections and gaining the trust of others.
  • Ability to meet a sales quota and utilize general sales techniques.
  • Intrinsic self-motivation to overcome challenges and meet goals.
  • Resilience in response to rejection.

Nice to Have

  • College Degree.
  • Previous Outdoor Advertising sales experience.
  • CRM experience.

  • Compensation: $70,000- $89,000 first-year earning potential, including commissions, dependent on experience and selling ability.
