Allstate Insurance Company of Canada is hiring a Risk & Return Senior Manager to lead strategic initiatives providing expert risk/return guidance to the organization. You will bring deep insights across business areas to challenge and report on risk frameworks, implementing and influencing them across Allstate.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted risk advisor, responding to 1st Line risk and return needs and supporting consistent application of risk frameworks.
- Develop a holistic view of risk and return, apprised of business strategies, results, and challenges, acting as an extension of 1st Line leadership.
- Educate and empower the 1st Line to drive risk and return and increase their accountability.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with 1st Line leadership and support areas like Technology, Legal, Compliance, and HR.
- Influence the appropriate management of risk, including monitoring, reporting, and escalation structures to optimize risk and return.
- Provide effective independent challenge of first line risk management activities and escalate and report significant issues.
- Review, research, interpret, and analyze risk data to identify trends, emerging risks, and issues, forming hypotheses on future impact.
- Lead risk and return reviews in targeted areas and provide risk consulting on complex or cross-functional topics.
- Contribute to or lead strategic initiatives for the enterprise risk and return management program.
- Communicate with leadership, including preparing information for the Operational Risk and Return Council and Enterprise Risk and Return Council.
