RateHawk is hiring a Retail Business Development Manager South Korea

About the Role

RateHawk is looking for a Retail Business Development Manager to drive sales efforts and expand our client base in South Korea. You will forge strategic partnerships and consolidate our presence in the local market.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement sales activities, including cold calls and regular visits, to hit targets and achieve growth.
  • Sign up new partners such as tour operators, travel agencies, travel management companies, and OTAs.
  • Provide extended training on our system to new and existing partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with your partner portfolio.
  • Manage accounts for an assigned portfolio, including providing first-level support.
  • Follow up with partners to provide system training and identify ways to improve cooperation.
  • Prepare, execute, and manage commercial deals, including required document flow and technical setup.
  • Control compliance with commercial conditions by partners, including payment flow.
  • Spend approximately 30% of working time on business trips for client meetings and industry events.
  • Conduct market and competitive environment analysis.
  • Provide regular comprehensive reporting through CRM and internal systems.
  • Drive retention and profitable growth of your portfolio through client engagement activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in the full sales life cycle within the travel industry.
  • Experience with a focus on business development and account management of B2B companies.
  • In-depth understanding of South Korea's travel market, including B2B travel networks.
  • Fluent in Korean and English.
  • Open to travel requirements of up to 30%.
  • Comfortable with data-driven decision-making, metrics-driven work, and numbers.
  • A proactive, ambitious, motivated, and action-oriented team player with results-focus.
  • Appetite for innovative technology and comfort in a fast-changing business environment.
  • Ability to understand and work across a wide range of cultural contexts.
  • Strong commercial aptitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
