As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver precise and compassionate respiratory care during night hours, ensuring continuity of treatment for patients with complex cardiopulmonary needs. Working under the direction of physicians and advanced practitioners, you will evaluate patient conditions, initiate prescribed therapies, and monitor responses to ensure optimal outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Administer respiratory treatments as directed by licensed medical providers
- Assess patient status regularly and adjust care plans to support clinical goals
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members to manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions
- Provide education to patients and families about treatment plans and respiratory health
- Support training initiatives for clinical staff across departments on respiratory techniques and equipment
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with a focus in Respiratory Therapy
- Current New York State Respiratory Therapist license
- Active NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience in pediatric or pediatric intensive care settings

Work Environment
This is an onsite role at the main hospital located at 1275 York Avenue in New York City. The position follows a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with variable nights, weekends, and rotating holiday coverage.
