Total Life is looking for a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in California to deliver specialized psychotherapy to our 65+ clientele. You will join our mission to revolutionize healthier aging by combating mental health issues among older adults through empathy and evidence-based care. In this role, you will provide virtual therapy focused on improving both daily experience and measurable outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Deliver virtual, evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, etc.) specifically tailored to the cognitive and emotional needs of older adults.
- Lead clinical interventions for late-onset depression, chronic grief, and complex anxiety disorders.
- Help clients develop robust coping mechanisms to manage the physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges that accompany aging.
- Utilize data-informed approaches to improve daily quality of life and measurable clinical outcomes for your clients.
What We're Looking For
- Hold a valid, unrestricted LMHC license in the state of California.
- Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
- Proven track record of improving clinical outcomes specifically for clients aged 65+.
- Provide proof of professional liability/malpractice insurance (minimum $1M claim limit/$3M aggregate) or be willing to purchase a policy prior to hire.
- Have an active NPI.
- Be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Be comfortable utilizing teletherapy technology and secure EHR systems.
- Ability to pass a standard criminal background check.

- Existing Medicare/CAQH credentialing is a significant plus.
