The Registered Nurse in Pediatric Psychiatry plays a central role in managing the full scope of nursing responsibilities for young patients receiving mental health care. This position focuses on delivering compassionate, individualized nursing interventions while actively involving families in the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of the nursing process, from assessment to evaluation, ensuring safe and effective care delivery
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated treatment plans
- Access and apply administrative tools and technology systems to enhance patient outcomes
- Draw upon specialized knowledge to meet the developmental and emotional needs of pediatric populations
- Perform duties within the legal and ethical standards of nursing practice in Massachusetts
Qualifications
Candidates must hold either a nursing diploma or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, along with a current Massachusetts RN license. CPR certification may be required at hire, with additional certifications such as BLS, PALS, or ACLS depending on the assigned unit. Demonstrated competence in pediatric psychiatric care is essential.
Preference may be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. The position requires onsite presence at the facility located at 1 Dove Avenue.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay ranges from $39.27 to $94.69, determined by qualifications, experience, and other factors. Total compensation may include shift differentials, bonuses, and premiums. A comprehensive benefits package is available, along with support for professional development and career growth.
