Sedgwick is looking for a Remote Customer Service Specialist to deliver exceptional support on our primary temporary housing line. You will assist policyholders, adjusters, and partners with housing-related inquiries, ensuring service is accurate, timely, and of high quality.
What You'll Do
- Answer inbound calls from insureds, adjusters, and hotel partners in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Serve as the first point of contact for housing-related inquiries, resolving issues with strong service skills.
- Learn department functions to accurately resolve issues and answer questions.
- Enter new housing claims into the system accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inbound email for claim questions, approvals, and new housing requests.
- Contact insureds via text and email to confirm hotel extension needs.
- Update and maintain the hotel database for accuracy and uniformity.
- Extend hotel stays for clients currently in-house.
- Retrieve hotel folios from properties for completed and partial stays.
- Audit hotel folios and related claims for billing accuracy and compliance.
- Verify and maintain accurate data across internal systems.
- Support the organization's quality program.
What We're Looking For
- Four (4) years of experience in claims processing or related business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of billing systems, claim systems, financial services, and insurance products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent analytical and interpretive skills, including efficient use of MS Excel.
- Excellent problem solving and resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment.
- Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, and discretion.
- Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- Insurance or finance industry experience.
