About the Role

Sedgwick is looking for a Remote Customer Service Specialist to deliver exceptional support on our primary temporary housing line. You will assist policyholders, adjusters, and partners with housing-related inquiries, ensuring service is accurate, timely, and of high quality.

What You'll Do

  • Answer inbound calls from insureds, adjusters, and hotel partners in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for housing-related inquiries, resolving issues with strong service skills.
  • Learn department functions to accurately resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Enter new housing claims into the system accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor inbound email for claim questions, approvals, and new housing requests.
  • Contact insureds via text and email to confirm hotel extension needs.
  • Update and maintain the hotel database for accuracy and uniformity.
  • Extend hotel stays for clients currently in-house.
  • Retrieve hotel folios from properties for completed and partial stays.
  • Audit hotel folios and related claims for billing accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify and maintain accurate data across internal systems.
  • Support the organization's quality program.

What We're Looking For

  • Four (4) years of experience in claims processing or related business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of billing systems, claim systems, financial services, and insurance products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent analytical and interpretive skills, including efficient use of MS Excel.
  • Excellent problem solving and resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment.
  • Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, and discretion.
  • Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Insurance or finance industry experience.
