Corporate Immigration Attorneys seeks a Remote Bilingual Business Immigration Attorney proficient in Portuguese to prepare and file complex employment-based immigration petitions. You will play a key role in a fast-paced practice, managing client cases, conducting legal research, and communicating effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
What You'll Do
- Diligently prepare cases, develop legal strategies, and draft cover letters.
- Develop an expert-level understanding of client cases to prepare immigrant and non-immigrant petitions.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines, including preparing and revising legal documents.
- Explain legal terminology to clients succinctly and in a timely manner.
- Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions.
- Stay up-to-date on legislative changes affecting immigration law.
- Develop solutions to complex legal questions.
- Provide training to client companies and individuals on substantive legal topics and immigration law updates.
- Partner with colleagues to share information, resolve client issues, and support client projects.
- Regularly and effectively communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case strategy issues.
- Assess the eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for U.S. non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
- Work with global mobility personnel and general counsel, preparing petitions for DOL and USCIS.
- Supervise paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Admitted to a U.S. state bar in good standing.
- Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese.
- High-level organizational skills and exceptional written/verbal communication.
- Strong time management and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume law firm setting.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn across various practice areas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- 1-2 years of experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs.
