Join a growing legal team as a Trademark Prosecution Paralegal, where precision and proactive management of intellectual property matters are central to daily responsibilities. You will play a key role in supporting attorneys by conducting trademark clearance searches, analyzing results, and preparing and filing U.S. trademark applications, including detailed descriptions of goods and services. You will also manage post-registration filings such as Statements of Use, Section 8 and 15 affidavits, and Extensions of Time, ensuring compliance with USPTO requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and assess findings to support client strategy
- Prepare and file trademark-related documents with accuracy and timeliness
- Identify and collect acceptable specimens from client websites for use in filings
- Research procedural rules using the TMEP and other legal resources as needed
- Draft and manage correspondence with clients and foreign associates, following up as required
- Maintain docket systems, monitor deadlines, and coordinate with attorneys to ensure all dates are met
- Keep detailed time records and update billing logs daily
- Support administrative functions and special projects within the department
- Handle sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least five years of direct trademark paralegal experience within a law firm setting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. You must demonstrate strong written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Experience working with religious organizations is part of the role’s scope, and candidates must be comfortable supporting such clients as an essential function of the position. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability outside standard business hours when necessary. Proficiency in time management, legal research, and client communication is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $100,000 per year, with eligibility for overtime.
