International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse – Operating Room to provide comprehensive health services to US government and contractor personnel stationed in Israel. You will use a holistic approach to care for patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions across pre-operative, surgical, and post-operative environments.
What You'll Do
- Provide OR Nurse coverage for patients in acute and intensive care settings, short stay units, and pain management services.
- Assist with diagnostic transoesophageal echocardiograms and emergency airway management.
- Prepare patients prior to surgery and gather all necessary surgical supplies.
- Maintain sterilization standards in the operating room and position patients for procedures.
- Pass instruments to surgeons during operations and evaluate patients in post-operative phases.
- Assist surgeons at the patient’s bedside and in outpatient clinic settings as needed.
- Ensure timely presence for scheduled clinics and surgeries.
- Maintain compliance with all project site procedures, standards, and mandatory training requirements.
- Complete required organizational compliance education.
What We're Looking For
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a US state, territory, commonwealth, or equivalent country of record.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
- 3+ years’ nursing experience with 6 months of OR RN experience within the past year.
- Associates, Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing from an approved/accredited school.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to meet pre-deployment physical requirements and relocate to Israel for the project duration.
- Valid Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a required security clearance.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience abroad or in an austere environment.
- Applicants with current security clearances.
Team & Environment
Functions both dependently and independently within guidance and direction from the Nurse Manager/designee.
